Hi, I’m Meredith. I’m the mother of 6 children, although 2 are grown and flown. I work from home as a virtual assistant while taking care of the 4 littles. Several of them are on the autism spectrum and receive in-home therapy. Our home is definitely hectic, but also full of love and fun.
I have encountered severe financial hardships in the past, especially when I had a home with polybutylene plumbing. Repairs were a constant, and in order to afford them I had to work extra hours and stick to a draconian household budget. It was rough. I was exhausted and stressed all the time.
We have settled into another home and things are much better for us now. We are blessed and able to live comfortably, although we are still technically trying to rebuild after having lost so much to water damage years ago. I’m thankful for what I was able to save and for all that I’ve been able to replace.
I would like to share tips and tricks that I learned over the years of having to really crack down on bills and spending, while also sharing mini successes as we still push to rebuild our lives. I will also share new things I learn and try.
